I actually still had DaVinci 12 installed before upgrading and it wouldn't even open, so I know backtracking there isn't an option. You can export XML in a previous version but this is obviously just 1.7, still ahead of what DaVinci is accepting.Īny way around this? Can you export older XMLs from FCPX somehow? I downloaded 15 thinking this would solve the problem, but nope same thing. I downloaded 14 to be safe and tried to import the FCPX 1.8 XML, and an error came up saying 'DaVinci Resolve supports Final Cut Pro X XML 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5'. However we recently got an FS5 and have done one big project on it (not using Slog or other PPs, but plan to in the future) so decided to refresh my DaVinci Resolve grading skills. I usually do small quick turnaround self shot projects, so I have a pretty simple workflow and grade / edit in programme.
